General data protection declaration

This data protection declaration contains information on how, why and to which degree we collect and use your personal information.

All personal data is collected and used in compliance with the legal provisions of the Federal Republic of Germany.

What is personal data?
Section 3, paragraph 1 of the German Data Protection Act (Bundesdatenschutzgesetz) defines personal data as individual pieces of information concerning the personal or material circumstances of a specific or identifiable individual person. This relates to things like your name, address, e-mail address and telephone number, for example, as well as the IP address which identifies your computer.

Usage data
As soon as you access our website, your web browser will start transferring data to our server for technical reasons. This includes the date and time of when you accessed the site, the URL or web address of the page opened previously, the designations of the data that you access on our site and the quantities of data sent to your computer. The type and version of your operating system, browser and your IP number are also transferred. We are able to use this data to create statistics about the use of our web pages or for market research purposes. We can also create user profiles using the data, although you can object to this.

We do not link the aforementioned data about the use of web pages with your person. The data collected for technical reasons is not associated with any information that you provide when using our website and is saved separately. Any user profiles created are given a pseudonym and are not associated with any other personal data or with the information you have entered on our web pages.

Contract data/customer data
Using our website generally does not require you to enter any personal data. Certain information is required, however, in the event that you enter a contract or business relationship with us. This also applies in the event of changes to existing contracts. This personal information is collected and used only as far as is required to complete or change the respective contract. Personal data will never be passed on to third parties without your express permission. Data will always be passed on to authorities in individual cases in the event that legal provisions oblige us to do so.

Use of cookies
Cookies are small text files that are saved on your computer. These contain information about how you use our website and the internet. Cookies make it possible to identify you as a user who is interested in certain content, or has looked for information about certain products, the next time you visit our site. With this information, we can optimize the use of our site for you and improve our online provision. You can prevent cookies being saved on your computer using the setting in your browser. This may mean, however, that you will be unable to use our web site in full.

Your rights
At any time and at no cost, you can request information about which data about your person or a pseudonym used by you we save, where the data originates and who receives it. You can also request information about the purposes for which the data is used. Furthermore, you have the right to correct, delete or block your data. Should you have any questions concerning data protection, please contact us using the address of the site operator found in the legal information section.

Unauthorized third-party access to data
Any transfer of data via the internet is subject to the risk that unauthorized third parties can gain access to your data or the content of e-mails, for example. Even if all due care is taken, complete protection is not possible.

Objection to unwanted advertising
We object to any use of our contact details by third parties for the purposes of sending unsolicited advertising in any form. We reserve the right to take legal action against the sender in the event of violation.

Facebook data protection declaration

Our web pages use plugins for the social media network Facebook (Facebook Inc., 1601 Willow Road, Menlo Park, California, 94025, U.S.A.). These plugins can be easily recognized from the Facebook logo or “Like” button. A list of the plugins used by Facebook can be found under the following link: http://developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins/

As soon as you access one of our web pages with such a plugin, a connection is made between your browser and the Facebook servers in the USA This also happens if you do not click the button. This allows Facebook to see that our website was accessed from your IP address. Please note that we neither know which data is collected by Facebook using the plugin or how it is used, nor do we have any influence over this.

If you click on the button while logged in to your Facebook account, you can link to our pages with your Facebook profile. Facebook can then see that you are using our website and can collect information about your usage behavior. If you wish to prevent this, please log out of your Facebook account before accessing our website.

Facebook’s own declaration on how it handles personal data can be found here:
https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy

Google Analytics data protection declaration

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service that is provided by Google, Inc. (“Google”), 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA Google Analytics uses so-called cookies. These are small text files that are stored on your computer. Cookies can be used to evaluate how you use our website. The data collected about your usage behavior is sent to a Google server in the U.S.A and saved there.

Data collection
IP anonymization is activated on this website. This means that within the member states of the European Union or in other states party to the agreement within the European Economic Area, your IP address will be shortened by Google before being transferred to the USA In exceptional cases, your IP address may be sent to a Google server in the USA and shortened there.

Use and saving of data
On behalf of the operator of this internet site, Google will use the data collected about your usage behavior to analyze your use of the website, create reports about the activities on the website and provide other services to the site operator related to the use of the site and the internet. The IP address transferred by your browser using Google Analytics is not combined with other data by Google.

How to prevent data collection
If you wish to prevent data about your usage behavior being collected with the use of cookies, you can prevent cookies being saved by adjusting your browser settings. This may mean, however, that you are unable use our full online provision.

You can also prevent Google from collecting the data about your use of the site via cookies and processing this data (incl. your IP address) by downloading and installing a browser plugin available here: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de

If you would like to prevent Google Analytics from recording and analyzing your IP address, please click on the following link. This creates a so-called “opt-out cookie” that prevents Google Analytics from recording your IP address on this website in future.

Deactivating Google Analytics
On our website, we have extended Google Analytics with the code “gat._anonymizeIp();”. This ensures that IP addresses are shortened and therefore anonymized when they are recorded.

Data protection information from Google
Google gives you as the user information about its conditions of use, as well as its own data protection practices, on the following internet addresses: http://www.google.com/analytics/terms/de.html https://www.google.com/intl/com/policies/

Google AdSense

Our website uses the service Google AdSense. This service is provided by Google Inc. (Google), 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, U.S.A.. Google AdSense helps to incorporate advertisements in websites. The service uses cookies, small text files that are stored on your computer. These cookies make it possible to track and analyze your activities on our website in order to target advertising measures. In addition, Google AdSense uses so-called web beacons (also known as pixel tags) for the same purpose. These are very small, invisible images.

The data collected about your use of our website, as well as, for example, which adverts you have clicked on, are conveyed together with your IP address to a Google server in the USA. The data is then analyzed and stored there. Google may pass on this data to third parties, such as some of its contractual partners. Google will never associate your IP address with other personal data it has collected.

You can prevent the saving of cookies on your computer by adjusting the settings in your browser. This may mean, however, that you will be unable to use all functions of our website in full. To the best of our knowledge, data collection using web beacons does not prevent this.

By using our website, you declare your consent to data concerning your use of our site being recorded, collected, evaluated and used for the aforementioned purpose.

Google Plus data protection declaration

Our website contains the “+1” button of the service Google Plus. This service is provided by Google Inc. (Google), 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, U.S.A.. The Google Plus button can be recognized by the “+1” symbol on a white or colored background.

Google Plus allows you as the user to highlight sites that you think would be useful for other users and to personalize your Google searches. In principle, it is a social network that also allows you to publish and share content with others worldwide.

As soon as you access one of our web pages containing the “+1” button, your browser will create a direct connection to the Google servers in the USA. Google will then send the contents of the “+1” button directly to your browser, from where it is then incorporated in the currently displayed web page. We must inform you that we have no influence over the way and scope in which Google collects data using the “+1” button.

Clicking on the “+1” button to recommend a website will allow Google to save your recommendation and information about the page. Your IP address will most likely also be saved. It is possible that your “+1” allocations are published together with your profile name and photo in other Google services, such as in search results, your Google profile, online advertisements or on websites.

The data collected about your “+1” clicks is used by Google to improve its services. Google can also use the data to create statistics about the “+1” activities of its users. These evaluations can be provided to third parties, such as advertising customers or website operators.

You can only use Google Plus if you have created a user account and Google profile. This profile is public and can be accessed worldwide. The profile must be given a profile name, which is usually used for all Google services. It is possible for another user to link your Google profile to your person if they possess data that allows you to be identified (e.g. your e-mail address).

Google’s own declarations on data protection and the possible measures you can take to protect your privacy can be found here: :
https://www.google.com/intl/en/policies/terms/regional.html

If you as a member of Google Plus would like to prevent data about your visit to our website being collected, evaluated and linked with the data from your Google account, please log out from Google Plus before accessing our website.
